Which companies sponsor visas for full stack engineers in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems in Nashua, Ellucian in Manchester, and healthcare technology firms like Dartmouth Health have filed Labor Condition Applications for software engineering roles in New Hampshire. Defense contractors along the Route 3 corridor and education technology companies are among the more consistent sponsors. Larger national employers with New Hampshire offices, such as Oracle and Fidelity, have also sponsored full stack engineers in the state.
Which visa types are most common for full stack engineer roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for full stack engineers in New Hampshire, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status under the USMCA, which has no annual cap. Australian nationals holding an E-3 visa can also work in full stack engineering roles where the degree requirement is met.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most full stack engineer sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the majority of full stack engineer sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Manchester has a growing tech cluster supported by community development initiatives and proximity to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. Nashua's concentration of defense contractors and software firms makes it the state's most active hiring corridor for sponsored engineering roles. Portsmouth and Concord also see occasional openings, particularly in healthcare IT and government contracting.
How to find full stack engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify full stack engineer roles in New Hampshire without sorting through postings that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by role and state to surface positions from employers who have a documented history of sponsoring international engineers. This is particularly useful in a smaller market like New Hampshire, where sponsored roles are less frequent than in major tech hubs.
Are there any state-specific considerations for full stack engineers seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which can affect how employers structure compensation relative to prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program. The state's tech workforce draws heavily from the University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University, so employers are familiar with international student hiring pipelines, including OPT and STEM OPT extensions. Full stack engineers on F-1 OPT should confirm their employer can support an H-1B petition before the OPT period expires.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored full stack engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
