Which companies sponsor visas for full stack engineers in Arkansas?
Walmart Global Tech in Bentonville is the most prominent H-1B visa sponsor for full stack engineers in Arkansas, regularly filing petitions for software roles. Dillard's, Axiom International, and several regional fintech and healthcare IT firms in Little Rock also have documented sponsorship histories. Smaller startups in the Northwest Arkansas corridor occasionally sponsor as well, though large enterprise employers file the majority of petitions.
Which visa types are most common for full stack engineer roles in Arkansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for full stack engineers in Arkansas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. L-1B visas apply when engineers transfer within a multinational company. O-1 visas are an option for engineers with demonstrated extraordinary ability, though far fewer Arkansas employers use this pathway.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most full stack engineer sponsorship jobs?
Bentonville and the broader Northwest Arkansas region lead the state due to Walmart Global Tech's concentration of software engineering roles. Little Rock follows as the state capital and financial services hub, with employers in healthcare IT, government contracting, and banking. Fayetteville benefits from proximity to the University of Arkansas and a growing startup scene that occasionally produces sponsored positions.
How to find full stack engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters full stack engineer roles in Arkansas by visa sponsorship availability, so you're not sifting through listings from employers who won't sponsor. Searching Migrate Mate by state and role lets you identify which Arkansas employers are actively hiring sponsored engineers, including enterprise technology companies in Northwest Arkansas and IT-focused firms in Little Rock.
Are there state-specific considerations for full stack engineers seeking sponsorship in Arkansas?
Arkansas employers sponsoring H-1B full stack engineers must comply with Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific location, and wages in Northwest Arkansas and Little Rock differ from national averages. The University of Arkansas and Arkansas State University generate local graduate pipelines that some employers draw from before pursuing international hires. Cap-exempt employers such as universities and nonprofit research organizations can file H-1B petitions outside the annual lottery.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored full stack engineer jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
