Which manufacturing companies sponsor Green Card visas in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems in Nashua, Albany International in Rochester, and Benchmark Electronics in Manchester have histories of sponsoring permanent residence for skilled manufacturing employees. Medical device and aerospace manufacturers operating in the state tend to file the most PERM labor certifications, particularly for engineers, quality managers, and advanced manufacturing specialists. Sponsorship is never guaranteed and depends on the specific role, employer policy, and timing.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most manufacturing Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Nashua and Manchester account for the largest share of manufacturing employment in New Hampshire and see the most Green Card sponsorship activity. The Seacoast corridor, including Portsmouth and Dover, has a concentration of defense and technology-oriented manufacturers. Rochester and Claremont have industrial employers as well, though sponsorship volume there is more limited compared to the southern tier of the state.
What types of manufacturing roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in New Hampshire?
Roles requiring specialized education or expertise are most commonly sponsored. These include manufacturing engineers, process engineers, quality assurance managers, CNC programmers, materials scientists, and supply chain specialists. Production operators and general assembly roles are rarely sponsored because they typically do not meet the specialty occupation or skills shortage thresholds that support PERM labor certification filings.
How do I find manufacturing Green Card sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can browse manufacturing roles in New Hampshire where employers have indicated Green Card sponsorship availability. This saves significant time compared to manually screening general job postings. Migrate Mate focuses on the sponsorship signal directly, which is particularly useful in a smaller-market state like New Hampshire where sponsored roles are less frequent than in larger metros.
Are there any New Hampshire-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in manufacturing?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which can affect compensation structuring, but it does not change federal Green Card sponsorship requirements. The state's relatively tight manufacturing labor market means employers sometimes pursue PERM sponsorship to retain specialized talent they cannot easily replace locally. Prevailing wage determinations under PERM are based on the specific job location, so wages in Nashua may differ from those in more rural areas of the state.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card manufacturing jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
