Which companies sponsor visas for IT engineers in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems, Oracle, Dell Technologies, and Segra are among the larger employers with a history of sponsoring H-1B visas for IT engineers in New Hampshire. Healthcare systems like Dartmouth Health and financial services firms headquartered in Manchester also file petitions. Smaller defense and cybersecurity contractors in the Nashua corridor regularly sponsor engineers in specialized infrastructure and systems roles.
Which visa types are most common for IT engineer roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa for IT engineers in New Hampshire, covering roles like systems engineer, network engineer, and infrastructure engineer that require a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Canadians and Mexicans may qualify for the TN visa under the USMCA treaty. Candidates with extraordinary ability in their field may explore the O-1A. L-1B visas apply when an engineer transfers from an overseas office of the same employer.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most IT engineer sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua together account for the large majority of IT engineer sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua's defense and aerospace cluster along the Route 3 corridor drives consistent demand for systems and network engineers. Manchester, as the state's largest city, hosts financial services, healthcare IT, and mid-size tech employers. Concord sees some activity tied to state government IT contractors, though volume is lower.
How to find it engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters IT engineer jobs specifically by visa sponsorship and state, so you can browse verified New Hampshire openings without sifting through roles that don't sponsor. Search for titles like systems engineer, network engineer, or IT infrastructure engineer alongside New Hampshire to surface the most relevant listings. Migrate Mate's data focuses on employers with active H-1B and other sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful given New Hampshire's smaller but concentrated tech employer base.
Are there any state-specific considerations for IT engineers seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire's proximity to the Massachusetts border means many employers treat the southern tier as part of the greater Boston labor market, so prevailing wage determinations for roles in Nashua or Manchester are benchmarked against that competitive regional market. The University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University produce engineering graduates, but the state has no large public research university driving the kind of OPT-to-sponsorship pipelines seen in states like Massachusetts or California. Defense clearance eligibility is a meaningful advantage for IT engineers targeting the Nashua corridor.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored it engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
