Which construction companies sponsor TN visas in New Hampshire?
General contractors and engineering firms with active New Hampshire operations are the most consistent TN visa sponsors in construction. Companies like Gilbane Building Company, Skanska, and regional firms such as PC Construction have hired TN workers for engineering and project management roles. Specialty civil and infrastructure contractors working on state highway and utilities projects also sponsor TN candidates, particularly for licensed engineering positions.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most construction TN sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the largest share of commercial construction activity in New Hampshire, making them the primary cities for TN sponsorship opportunities. The Seacoast area around Portsmouth has seen steady growth in institutional and mixed-use development. Concord, as the state capital, generates consistent public infrastructure work. Smaller markets like Dover and Dover see activity tied to healthcare and university construction projects.
What types of construction roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in construction is limited to roles requiring a specific professional degree. Civil engineers, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, and land surveyors are the most common qualifying titles. Architects holding a professional degree also qualify. General construction management roles without a directly related engineering or architecture degree do not meet the specialty occupation standard required for TN classification.
How do I find construction TN sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate lists construction jobs in New Hampshire that are open to TN visa sponsorship, letting you filter by visa type and state rather than sorting through postings that never address sponsorship at all. Focus your search on civil engineering, structural engineering, and architecture roles with contractors and engineering consultancies active in the Manchester-Nashua corridor and Seacoast region, where project volume is highest.
Are there any state-specific considerations for construction TN sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire requires professional engineers and architects to hold a state-issued license before practicing independently, which is separate from TN visa approval. Canadian engineers licensed in a Canadian province will typically need to pursue New Hampshire licensure through the NH Board of Professional Engineers after arriving. Some employers sponsor TN status while the candidate completes reciprocal licensing, but this varies by firm and role.
