Search Manufacturing Jobs in New JerseyManufacturing Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
Which manufacturing companies sponsor Green Card visas in New Jersey?
Several large manufacturers in New Jersey have established Green Card sponsorship histories, including Johnson & Johnson, Merck, BASF, Honeywell, and Campbell Soup Company. These employers have filed PERM labor certifications for roles in pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical processing, and industrial operations. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific facility, role, and workforce needs at the time of hiring, so confirming directly with a prospective employer is important.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most manufacturing Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Edison, Parsippany, Newark, and Trenton are among the most active areas for manufacturing employment in New Jersey, driven by proximity to major pharmaceutical campuses, chemical plants, and logistics corridors. The Route 1 corridor from New Brunswick to Princeton has a particularly high concentration of life sciences and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, many of which have sponsored Green Cards for specialized engineering and production roles.
What types of manufacturing roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in New Jersey?
Employers in New Jersey most commonly sponsor Green Cards for roles requiring specialized technical qualifications, including process engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality assurance managers, validation specialists, and supply chain analysts. Pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing roles that require degrees in chemical engineering, materials science, or related fields tend to attract PERM sponsorship more frequently than general production or assembly positions, which rarely meet the specialty occupation threshold needed for most employment-based Green Card categories.
How do I find manufacturing Green Card sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can search for manufacturing roles in New Jersey that include Green Card sponsorship without sorting through positions that don't apply to your situation. This is particularly useful in a state like New Jersey where pharmaceutical, chemical, and industrial manufacturing employers vary significantly in their willingness to sponsor permanent residence. Filtering by location and industry on Migrate Mate saves considerable time in your search.
Are there any New Jersey-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in manufacturing?
New Jersey's heavy concentration of pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing means many employers are experienced with employment-based immigration, including EB-2 and EB-3 PERM sponsorship. However, New Jersey workers from India and China face the same national backlog delays as elsewhere in the United States, which can extend waits by years depending on the preference category. New Jersey does not have state-level immigration programs, so all sponsorship processes follow federal USCIS and Department of Labor procedures.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card manufacturing jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
