Which media and entertainment companies in New Jersey sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
New Jersey hosts several media and entertainment employers with H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship history, including NBCUniversal's operations near the Meadowlands, iHeartMedia's regional offices, and Audible's Newark headquarters. Publishing companies and digital content studios in the Newark and Jersey City metro area have also filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty-occupation roles. Sponsorship activity varies by company size, role type, and current hiring cycles, so reviewing DOL LCA disclosure data through the OFLC Wage Search tool gives the most current picture.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most media and entertainment H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Newark and Jersey City concentrate the highest volume of media and entertainment sponsorship activity in New Jersey, partly due to their proximity to New York City's broader media market. The Meadowlands area in Bergen County also draws production and broadcasting employers. Hoboken has seen growth in digital media and content companies. Smaller markets like Morristown and Princeton occasionally post specialty-occupation media roles, particularly in corporate communications, publishing, and digital strategy.
What types of media and entertainment roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in New Jersey?
Roles that qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship must meet the specialty-occupation standard, meaning they require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In media and entertainment, qualifying roles commonly include software engineers working on streaming or broadcast platforms, data analysts, UX designers, content strategists with technical backgrounds, digital marketing managers, and broadcast engineers. General production assistant or on-set roles that do not require a specific degree typically do not qualify. USCIS determines eligibility case by case.
How do I find media and entertainment H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters jobs specifically by visa type, so you can search for H-1B1 Singapore-eligible media and entertainment roles in New Jersey without manually screening out employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces employers with verified LCA filing history in the sector, covering roles in production, digital content, broadcasting, and publishing across Newark, Jersey City, and surrounding areas. This is more efficient than broad job searches that rarely indicate H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship eligibility upfront.
Are there any New Jersey-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in media and entertainment?
New Jersey's position within the greater New York media market means many employers have dual offices, and some LCAs are filed under New York prevailing wage rates even for New Jersey work locations. The H-1B1 Singapore visa requires a specialty-occupation job offer and a certified LCA reflecting the correct work location and prevailing wage. New Jersey does not impose additional state-level visa sponsorship requirements, but employers must comply with New Jersey labor laws alongside federal DOL obligations. Consulting USCIS and DOL guidance directly is recommended.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore media & entertainment jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
