Which companies sponsor visas for operations specialists in New Jersey?
Large employers with consistent H-1B visa sponsorship histories for operations roles in New Jersey include Johnson & Johnson, Cognizant, Merck, Prudential Financial, and Conduent. Logistics and supply chain companies operating out of the Meadowlands and Port Newark area also sponsor regularly. Checking OFLC disclosure data is the most reliable way to verify which employers have filed Labor Condition Applications for this role category.
Which visa types are most common for operations specialist roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa for operations specialists in New Jersey, particularly for roles requiring a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field. L-1B visas appear for intracompany transfers at multinationals headquartered or regionally based in the state. TN visa status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or analyst classifications, depending on how the role is defined.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most operations specialist sponsorship jobs?
Newark and Jersey City lead for operations specialist sponsorship activity, driven by proximity to New York City and the volume of financial services and logistics employers in the region. Parsippany and Bridgewater are strong secondary markets, anchored by pharmaceutical and technology company headquarters. Edison and Princeton also see consistent sponsorship hiring, particularly from life sciences and consulting firms with large New Jersey footprints.
How to find operations specialist visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate lets you filter operations specialist jobs specifically by visa sponsorship availability and state, making it straightforward to surface New Jersey openings without sorting through roles that don't sponsor. The platform focuses on international candidates, so the listings are pre-screened for sponsorship intent. Setting up alerts for operations specialist roles in New Jersey means you'll see new postings as they appear rather than checking manually.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for operations specialists in New Jersey?
New Jersey's concentration of pharmaceutical, logistics, and financial services employers creates consistent demand for operations specialists, which supports sponsorship activity. The state's prevailing wage levels for this role reflect a high cost-of-labor market, and employers must certify those wages on the Labor Condition Application before sponsoring an H-1B. Proximity to major universities like Rutgers also means many employers recruit international candidates directly from local talent pipelines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations specialist jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
