Minimum Education and Experience
- Master or Doctoral degree in social science discipline.
- Minimum of three years of academic or professional research experience required.
- Experience working with data in Microsoft Excel, SPSS, SAS and/or STATA.
- Experience with Qualtrics survey development and administration required.
- Experience in conducting education and/or workforce research required.
- Experience with state administrative records data sets on students, federal survey systems and national datasets required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Microsoft Excel, SPSS, SAS and/or STATA, and Qualtrics
- Demonstration of strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work well with others, as well as independently under minimal supervision
- Strong quantitative ability, including knowledge of quasi-experimental methods
Overview
This is a grant funded position. Hours for this position will vary quarterly, from 10 to 30+ hours per week, depending on project funding and need. The duration of the position will be determined by project funding and need.

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain a medical or religious exemption from the University will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
