Seasoned Anaplan Architect to lead and drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable Anaplan models across complex enterprise environments. This role is pivotal for translating strategic planning needs into robust, optimized Anaplan solutions that support cross-functional decision-making. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, a consultative mindset, and a proven track record in large-scale Anaplan implementations (Hands on experience). * Oversee and review model development by internal teams and external consultants, enforcing governance and development standards.
* Support change management efforts, including testing strategies, documentation, and user enablement.
* Design and manage data integration between Anaplan and source systems (CRM, Data Lakes) using Anaplan Connect, APIs, or Mulesoft/Talend/other middleware.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate planning requirements into efficient Anaplan logic and processes.
* Contribute to roadmap definition for enterprise planning capabilities leveraging the Anaplan platform.
EXPERTISE YOU'LL BRING:
* 7+ years in Anaplan with 4+ years of hands-on Anaplan architecture and implementation experience.
* Anaplan Certified Solution Architect required; Master Anaplanner certification is highly preferred.
* Demonstrated experience leading 3+ full lifecycle Anaplan implementations in large-scale environments (e.g., >500 users or multi-LOB deployments).
* Strong understanding of optimization techniques, sparsity control, and model performance tuning.
* Proficient in model building techniques such as dynamic cell access, ALM best practices, time-based modeling, and complex hierarchical calculations.
* Willingness to lead through execution: Design architecture, then build it.
* Fluency in end-to-end delivery: requirements gathering, development, UAT, deployment, and support.
* Ability to context-switch between strategy and detail (e.g., architecting a COGS model one hour, debugging a CALC block the next).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience in regulated industries (Healthcare, Financial Services, Manufacturing).
* Prior consulting experience with global system integrators or boutique Anaplan firms.
* Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology and experience working in cross-functional product teams.
* Proficiency with scripting for automation (e.g., Anaplan Connect, Python, JavaScript) is a plus.

Which companies sponsor visas for software architects in New Jersey?
Large employers with a consistent track record of H-1B sponsorship for software architects in New Jersey include Johnson & Johnson, Cognizant, Prudential Financial, Merck, and Conduent. Financial technology firms in Jersey City and pharmaceutical companies along the Route 1 corridor account for a significant share of sponsorship activity. DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data is a reliable way to verify which employers have sponsored this role.
Which visa types are most common for software architect roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for software architects in New Jersey, as the role consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. L-1A and L-1B visas are also relevant for architects transferring within a multinational company. O-1B is occasionally used for candidates with extraordinary ability in software engineering.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most software architect sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City leads due to its concentration of financial services and fintech employers with easy access to New York City. Parsippany, Bridgewater, and Florham Park host major technology and pharmaceutical operations that regularly hire architects. Princeton and Plainsboro benefit from proximity to research campuses along Route 1. Newark is growing as an enterprise technology hub with several consulting firms maintaining large offices there.
How to find software architect visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse software architect roles in New Jersey without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform aggregates openings from employers with active sponsorship programs, which saves significant time during a job search. Filtering by state and role on Migrate Mate surfaces relevant opportunities across Jersey City, Parsippany, Bridgewater, and Princeton.
Are there state-specific factors that affect software architect sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's high concentration of pharmaceutical, financial services, and telecommunications employers creates steady demand for senior technical roles like software architect, which tends to support sponsorship activity above the national average for this title. The state also benefits from strong university pipelines through Rutgers and NJIT, which feed talent into local employers familiar with international hiring processes. Prevailing wage requirements apply at the county level, so compensation benchmarks vary between Jersey City and more suburban areas.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software architect jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
