Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain roles in New Jersey?
Several large employers with significant New Jersey operations have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for supply chain roles, including Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Amazon, Becton Dickinson, and Maersk. Third-party logistics providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers concentrated in the I-95 corridor and Morris County also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA filings for procurement, operations, and demand planning positions.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for supply chain professionals in New Jersey, particularly for roles in demand planning, procurement, and operations analysis that require a relevant bachelor's degree. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying positions. Some senior or specialized roles may support O-1 visa petitions, though these require substantial evidence of extraordinary ability.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most supply chain sponsorship jobs?
Newark and the surrounding Port area are central to logistics and freight operations, while the Route 1 corridor through New Brunswick and Princeton hosts pharmaceutical and life sciences supply chain teams. Parsippany, Florham Park, and Bridgewater in Morris and Somerset counties house many corporate headquarters with established procurement and operations functions that have active international hiring records.
How to find supply chain visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters supply chain jobs in New Jersey specifically to employers with visa sponsorship history, saving you from sorting through listings that won't support work authorization. The platform covers roles across logistics, procurement, operations, and planning at companies active in the Newark port region, pharmaceutical corridor, and Northeast distribution hubs. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate surfaces positions relevant to international candidates.
Are there any state-specific considerations for supply chain sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's concentration of pharmaceutical manufacturers means many supply chain roles require familiarity with FDA-regulated logistics and Good Distribution Practice standards, which can strengthen a candidate's profile with sponsors in that sector. The state's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules apply based on the specific work location, so roles in northern New Jersey near New York City typically correspond to higher wage tiers than positions in central or southern parts of the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
