Which companies sponsor visas for warehouse jobs in New Jersey?
Large logistics and e-commerce operators are the most active sponsors in New Jersey's warehouse sector. Amazon has multiple fulfillment centers across the state, and companies like FedEx, UPS, XPO Logistics, and Walmart distribution operations have a significant presence. Sponsorship is most common for operations management, supply chain, and industrial engineering roles rather than general warehouse labor positions.
Which visa types are most common for warehouse roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for warehouse-adjacent roles requiring a bachelor's degree, such as logistics engineer, supply chain analyst, or operations manager. These qualify as specialty occupations because they require specialized knowledge in a specific field. General warehouse associate or picker roles typically do not meet specialty occupation requirements and are rarely sponsored through employment-based visas.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most warehouse visa sponsorship jobs?
Edison, Newark, and Carteret sit at the center of New Jersey's distribution activity due to their proximity to Port Newark-Elizabeth and major interstate corridors. Woodbridge, Piscataway, and South Brunswick also host large fulfillment and distribution centers. These areas attract the highest concentration of logistics employers and, by extension, the most opportunities for visa-sponsored warehouse and supply chain positions.
How to find warehouse visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find warehouse and logistics roles in New Jersey where employers are open to visa sponsorship. Filtering by state and role type surfaces positions from employers who have previously sponsored, which narrows your search considerably. Focus on operations, supply chain, and industrial engineering titles, as these are the warehouse-adjacent roles most frequently sponsored in New Jersey.
Are there any New Jersey-specific factors that affect warehouse visa sponsorship?
New Jersey's dense logistics network around Port Newark and major freight corridors makes it one of the busier warehouse markets on the East Coast, which supports steady hiring. Employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay prevailing wages as certified by the Department of Labor, which are set regionally. The high cost of living in northern New Jersey means prevailing wage benchmarks in that area are generally higher than in more rural parts of the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored warehouse jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
