Which companies sponsor visas for warehouse jobs in Georgia?
Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, and Target are among the larger employers with distribution and fulfillment operations in Georgia that have sponsored work visas for logistics and warehouse roles. Third-party logistics providers operating in the Atlanta metro and Savannah port region also appear in federal disclosure data as visa sponsors, though sponsorship decisions vary by role, location, and individual circumstance.
Which cities in Georgia have the most warehouse visa sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta and its surrounding suburbs, including McDonough, Braselton, and Locust Grove, account for the highest concentration of warehouse and distribution jobs in Georgia due to the region's highway access and population base. Savannah is a strong secondary market, driven by the Port of Savannah, one of the busiest container ports in the country, which supports significant warehousing and freight activity.
Which visa types are most common for warehouse roles in Georgia?
H-1B visas are the most frequently sponsored work visa for warehouse roles that require specialized knowledge, such as supply chain engineering, logistics technology, or operations management positions requiring a relevant bachelor's degree. Roles classified as specialty occupations can qualify, but general warehouse labor positions typically do not meet H-1B criteria. EB-3 immigrant visas can apply to certain skilled and unskilled positions when employers go through the PERM labor certification process.
How to find warehouse visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface warehouse and logistics roles in Georgia where employers are open to visa sponsorship, saving you from manually filtering through general job boards. You can search by role type and state to see relevant openings in Atlanta, Savannah, and surrounding areas. Focusing on larger distribution networks and third-party logistics companies tends to yield the most sponsorship-eligible listings in the state.
Are there any Georgia-specific factors that affect warehouse visa sponsorship?
Georgia's position as a Southeast logistics hub, anchored by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Port of Savannah, creates consistent demand for warehouse and supply chain talent. Employers filing H-1B or PERM-based petitions must pay at least the prevailing wage for the specific occupation and county, which is set by the Department of Labor and varies between the Atlanta metro and more rural parts of the state. Georgia Tech also produces a steady pipeline of supply chain and industrial engineering graduates, which influences what skill sets local employers prioritize when considering sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored warehouse jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
