Search Warehouse Jobs in WashingtonWarehouse Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for warehouse roles in Washington?
Amazon is the largest warehouse employer in Washington, with major fulfillment centers in Kent, DuPont, and Sumner that have sponsored workers through H-2B visa and H-1B visa programs. Other active sponsors include Sysco, IKEA, and large third-party logistics providers operating near SeaTac and the Port of Tacoma. Sponsorship is more common at facilities with ongoing high-volume operations than at smaller regional warehouses.
Which visa types are most common for warehouse jobs in Washington?
H-2B temporary nonimmigrant visas cover seasonal or peak-demand warehouse roles, while H-1B visas apply to warehouse operations managers, logistics engineers, and supply chain analysts requiring a bachelor's degree. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying logistics management roles. EB-3 immigrant visas are sometimes used for long-term warehouse workers, though employer willingness to pursue this pathway varies considerably.
Which cities in Washington have the most warehouse visa sponsorship jobs?
Kent, Sumner, and Auburn form the primary warehouse corridor in King and Pierce counties, with dense concentrations of fulfillment and distribution centers. Tacoma benefits from proximity to one of the busiest container ports on the West Coast, making it a consistent source of logistics and warehouse hiring. Spokane, in eastern Washington, is a secondary hub serving regional distribution for inland freight routes.
How to find warehouse visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters warehouse jobs in Washington specifically to employers who have a history of sponsoring work visas, saving you the time of screening out roles that won't consider international candidates. You can search by city, visa type, and role to find fulfillment, distribution, and logistics positions across the Kent Valley corridor, Tacoma, and Spokane. Migrate Mate also provides guidance on which visa categories apply to your background.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for warehouse visa sponsorship?
Washington's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B and H-2B roles in warehousing are benchmarked to King and Pierce County labor markets, which tend to run higher than national averages due to the cost of living and Amazon's influence on regional pay scales. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications must certify wages at or above the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the specific occupation and county, so roles in the Kent Valley may reflect different wage floors than positions in Spokane.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored warehouse jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
