Which companies sponsor visas for warehouse jobs in Oregon?
Amazon operates multiple fulfillment and delivery stations in the Portland metro area and has a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visa and other work visas for qualifying roles. Nike and Adidas, both headquartered near Beaverton, also maintain large distribution operations in Oregon. Larger third-party logistics providers such as XPO Logistics and Geodis have a presence in the state and occasionally sponsor work authorization for specialized warehouse positions.
Which visa types are most common for warehouse roles in Oregon?
H-1B sponsorship for warehouse roles is generally limited to positions requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or logistics operations. General warehouse labor roles typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Some workers enter warehouse operations through employer-sponsored EB-3 immigrant visa petitions, particularly for skilled or unskilled labor categories.
Which cities in Oregon have the most warehouse sponsorship jobs?
Portland and its surrounding suburbs, including Beaverton, Hillsboro, and Troutdale, account for the largest share of warehouse sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by e-commerce fulfillment centers and apparel brand distribution operations. The Salem and Eugene corridors also have notable warehouse employment tied to food processing, retail distribution, and manufacturing. The Columbia River industrial zone along the Portland-Vancouver border is a particularly active area for large-scale logistics employers.
How to find warehouse visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, and it filters warehouse roles by state, including Oregon. Searching on Migrate Mate lets you focus on employers who have indicated openness to sponsorship rather than sorting through listings where sponsorship status is unclear. Given that sponsorship for warehouse roles in Oregon is concentrated among a smaller set of large employers, using a targeted platform saves significant time.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for warehouse visa sponsorship?
Oregon participates in the federal H-1B Labor Condition Application process, which requires employers to pay at least the prevailing wage for the relevant occupation and geographic area as determined by the Department of Labor. Portland metro prevailing wages for logistics and warehouse management roles are calculated separately from rural Oregon counties, so the specific work location matters. Oregon also has state-level worker protections that apply to all employees regardless of visa status, which employers must account for when structuring sponsored positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored warehouse jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
