Due to the available budget allocated for this position, the hiring rate will not exceed $28.43 per hour.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to provide a broad range of supportive Human Resource functions to staff and management within an adult correctional facility.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate human resource (HR) processes to include payroll
- Assist with employee hiring, performance review, termination and the recruitment processes
- Conduct audits of payroll and other HR programs
CUSTOMERS: The New Mexico Corrections Department
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required education.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Employment is subject to a pre-employment background investigation and is conditional pending results.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which includes daily contact with inmates. Willingness to work in a correctional facility, may be required to work odd hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
