JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
The Associate Director, Demand Planning will design, implement, facilitate, and continuously improve the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) / Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for BDx. This role serves as the process owner and key facilitator for the monthly IBP cycle (Demand Review, Supply Review, Reconciliation, and Executive S&OP), driving cross-functional alignment, financial integration (volume-to-value), scenario planning, risk/opportunity management, and decision-making that optimizes OTIF, inventory health, and overall business performance. Success requires exceptional influencing skills, executive presence, governance rigor, and the ability to embed IBP as a core business management process while partnering closely with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Commercial, Finance, and Operations leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the IBP/S&OP framework, governance, cadence, templates, and supporting documentation for BDx; ensure consistency with broader BD IBP standards while tailoring to segment needs.
- Partner with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Finance, Commercial/Marketing & Sales, and Manufacturing leaders to ensure high-quality inputs, balanced plans, and aligned recommendations for executive review.
- Establish, monitor, and improve IBP process KPIs and health metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, plan attainment, inventory DIOH/DIO, OTIF, backorder rates, decision cycle time); drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Champion a “Zero Backorder” mentality and support OTIF and inventory optimization initiatives through better planning alignment and risk management.
- Drive change management, training, and capability building to embed IBP best practices and increase organizational planning maturity.
- Collaborate on system enhancements (Kinaxis, SAP, Power BI dashboards) to improve data visibility, analytics, and workflow efficiency for IBP participants and executives.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence at multiple levels (planner through VP/Platform leadership) to position IBP as a value-adding business process rather than a supply chain exercise.
- Identify and implement best practices from other BD businesses or industry leaders; support standardization and transformation initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, with at least 4–5+ years in formal S&OP, IBP, or integrated planning process ownership/facilitation roles.
- Proven success designing, implementing, or significantly maturing IBP/S&OP processes, including governance, cross-functional facilitation, and executive-level reviews.
- Experience with planning systems and tools (Kinaxis, SAP IBP/APO/ECC/S/4HANA, or similar APS/ERP); ability to partner effectively on system enablement of IBP processes. Power BI or advanced analytics experience is highly valued.
- Experience with financial integration in planning processes, scenario/what-if modeling, and translating supply chain plans into business impact.
- Project/program management experience for process rollouts, change management, and capability building.
- Results-oriented with a continuous improvement and governance mindset.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or similar certification, or formal IBP/S&OP training.
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS Supply Chain/Operations).
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, with at least 4–5+ years in formal S&OP, IBP, or integrated planning process ownership/facilitation roles in MedTech, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of regulated industry supply chains (OTIF, inventory optimization, launches, quality/regulatory linkages).

Which companies sponsor visas for human resources associates in New Jersey?
Large employers with significant New Jersey operations have sponsored visas for HR associates, including Johnson & Johnson, Cognizant, Merck, Prudential Financial, and Conduent. Multinational corporations and large staffing or consulting firms tend to have dedicated immigration support infrastructure, making them more likely to file H-1B visa petitions for HR roles than smaller regional employers.
Which visa types are most common for human resources associate roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for human resources associates in New Jersey, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as human resources management, organizational psychology, or business administration. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT, including STEM OPT extensions in some HR specializations, also frequently transition into sponsored roles.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most human resources associate sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City leads due to its proximity to Manhattan and concentration of financial services firms. Parsippany, Bridgewater, and Florham Park in the Route 287 corridor host significant pharmaceutical and technology company headquarters with active HR departments. Princeton and New Brunswick also generate HR hiring activity tied to life sciences employers and Rutgers University's affiliated organizations.
How to find human resources associate visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search human resources associate roles in New Jersey without sifting through positions that won't support international candidates. Migrate Mate's board surfaces roles from employers that have a documented history of sponsoring work visas, which is particularly useful for narrowing down the New Jersey market where sponsorship practices vary widely by employer size and industry.
Are there state-specific considerations for HR associate visa sponsorship in New Jersey?
New Jersey's concentration of life sciences, financial services, and technology employers creates a meaningful pool of large companies with established HR departments and immigration budgets. The state's proximity to New York City also means some roles are posted under New Jersey addresses but involve hybrid or regional HR responsibilities, which can affect prevailing wage determinations. Candidates should confirm the primary work location when evaluating sponsorship eligibility.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored human resources associate jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
