- Own performance analytics across digital and offline channels, assessing how campaigns and channels are performing, which channels are most efficient, which are underperforming, and which can scale profitably.
- Develop and improve attribution, media mix modeling, incrementality testing, ROI measurement, forecasting, and test-and-learn frameworks to quantify marketing impact and optimize spend.
- Drive customer lifecycle marketing analytics across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, reactivation, lifetime value, and segmentation, including LCM performance measurement and optimization.
- Build experimentation frameworks, dashboards, and insights delivery mechanisms that help stakeholders understand marketing performance, customer behavior, funnel health, and growth opportunities.
- Translate complex analysis into clear, executive-ready recommendations that support decisions on channel mix, budget allocation, audience strategy, creative effectiveness, and scaling opportunities.
- Partner with Marketing, Digital Product, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, and regional teams to ensure analytics are embedded into campaign planning, performance reviews, and business operating rhythms.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing analytics team while establishing governance, data quality standards, scalable measurement practices, and consistent reporting routines.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as economics, statistics, engineering, data science, analytics, business, or a related discipline required; master's degree or MBA preferred.
- 10-12+ years of experience in marketing analytics, growth analytics, data science, performance marketing analytics, or related analytical roles, with 3-5+ years in leadership roles.
- Deep marketing analytics experience, especially performance analytics across channels, including the ability to evaluate channel performance, efficiency, incrementality, scalability, and return on marketing spend.
- Advanced knowledge of marketing attribution, media mix modeling, incrementality testing, experimentation design, customer segmentation, LTV modeling, funnel analytics, and marketing ROI measurement.
- Experience supporting customer lifecycle marketing, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, reactivation, personalization, and lifecycle performance optimization.
- Strong technical capability with SQL and BI/data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI; Python/R and experience with large-scale data environments strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to connect analytics to business outcomes, translating data into recommendations that improve customer growth, marketing efficiency, channel mix, retention, LTV, and commercial performance.
- Experience in digital, fintech, payments, consumer technology, marketplace, e-commerce, or other high-scale B2C environments preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence marketing, product, finance, data science, and go-to-market leaders.

Which companies sponsor visas for marketing directors in New York?
Large multinationals with New York headquarters are the most consistent sponsors for marketing director roles. Companies like Pfizer, JPMorgan Chase, Publicis Groupe, NBCUniversal, and major tech firms with Manhattan offices have active international hiring programs. Advertising holding companies and media conglomerates in New York are particularly active because they regularly recruit senior marketing talent from global markets.
Which visa types are most common for marketing director roles in New York?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for marketing directors in New York, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, business, or a related field. Candidates with extraordinary recognition in their field may qualify for the O-1A. Intracompany transferees at multinational firms may use the L-1A, which is common given New York's concentration of global company headquarters.
How to find marketing director visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find marketing director roles in New York without sifting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can filter by state and role to surface employers who have a documented history of sponsoring senior marketing hires in the New York market, saving significant time in your search.
Which cities in New York have the most marketing director sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the overwhelming majority of marketing director sponsorship opportunities in New York, concentrated in Midtown and the Flatiron District where media, advertising, finance, and tech companies cluster. Brooklyn has seen growing demand, particularly from direct-to-consumer brands and startups. Outside New York City, opportunities are limited, though some pharmaceutical and healthcare companies near White Plains and Long Island post senior marketing roles.
Are there any state-specific considerations for marketing director sponsorship in New York?
New York employers sponsoring H-1B workers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements specific to the New York City metro area, which reflect the high cost of living and competitive senior talent market. New York's concentration of advertising agencies, financial services firms, and media companies also means marketing director roles are often tied to industry-specific degree expectations that affect specialty occupation determinations during the petition process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored marketing director jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
