Which companies in Texas sponsor visas for marketing directors?
Several large Texas-based employers have established sponsorship track records for senior marketing roles. AT&T and Texas Instruments in Dallas, Dell Technologies and Apple's Austin offices, and energy firms like ExxonMobil and Chevron in Houston have all filed H-1B visa petitions for marketing leadership positions. Retailers like Amazon's Texas operations and healthcare systems such as HCA Healthcare also appear regularly in Department of Labor disclosure data for marketing director-level roles.
What visa types are most common for marketing directors in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for marketing directors in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, communications, or business, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with extraordinary recognition in their field may qualify for the O-1A. Multinationals headquartered in Texas, such as AT&T, sometimes use the L-1A for intracompany transferees moving into director-level positions from overseas offices.
Which Texas cities have the most marketing director sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads the state for marketing director sponsorship volume, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters including AT&T, Toyota North America, and McKesson. Austin follows closely, fueled by the technology sector's demand for senior marketing talent at companies like Dell, Apple, and numerous high-growth startups. Houston rounds out the top three, particularly within energy, healthcare, and petrochemical industries where global brands maintain large marketing functions.
How to find marketing director visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it the most direct way to find marketing director roles in Texas where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Rather than sorting through listings that don't disclose sponsorship, Migrate Mate surfaces verified opportunities in Dallas, Houston, and Austin so you can focus your applications on employers already open to international candidates at the director level.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for marketing director sponsorship candidates?
Texas has no state income tax, which can affect prevailing wage comparisons since the Department of Labor sets H-1B wage requirements at the metropolitan statistical area level. Dallas, Austin, and Houston each carry different prevailing wage floors for marketing directors, so candidates should compare offers across cities accordingly. Texas also hosts several large MBA programs, including UT McCombs and Rice Jones, which creates domestic competition for director roles but also university pipelines that some employers use to identify sponsored candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored marketing director jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
