Which companies sponsor visas for quality program managers in New York?
Large corporations with established immigration programs are the most consistent sponsors for quality program managers in New York. Companies like Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squibb, IBM, JPMorgan Chase, and Regeneron have documented histories of sponsoring work visas in quality and program management functions. Medical device manufacturers and contract research organizations operating across the New York metro area are also active sponsors in this role category.
Which visa types are most common for quality program manager roles in New York?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for quality program managers in New York, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as engineering, operations, or business. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN visa category if their credentials align with qualifying occupational classifications. L-1 visa transfers are an option for those already employed by a multinational with U.S. operations.
Which cities in New York have the most quality program manager sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the majority of quality program manager sponsorship opportunities in the state, driven by its concentration of financial institutions, technology firms, and corporate headquarters. The Hudson Valley and Westchester County have a notable cluster of life sciences and pharmaceutical employers, including Regeneron's campus in Tarrytown. Albany sees demand from state-adjacent healthcare systems and government contractors, though at lower volume than the metro area.
How to find quality program manager visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship jobs, including quality program manager roles in New York. You can filter directly by role and state to see employers actively hiring and sponsoring visas in this category. This removes the need to manually screen hundreds of postings for sponsorship eligibility, which is particularly useful given how inconsistently individual companies disclose sponsorship willingness in standard job listings.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for quality program managers seeking visa sponsorship?
New York's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are enforced at the metropolitan area level, meaning employers in the New York City metro must meet wage thresholds that reflect one of the highest cost-of-labor markets in the country. The state's life sciences and biopharma sector is also heavily regulated, so quality program manager roles in those industries often require FDA-adjacent experience, which can strengthen a sponsorship case by demonstrating specialized, hard-to-replace expertise.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored quality program manager jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
