Which companies sponsor visas for quality program managers in Iowa?
Iowa's largest visa-sponsoring employers for quality program managers include John Deere, Collins Aerospace, Rockwell Collins, and Principal Financial Group. Food and agriculture companies such as Tyson Foods and DuPont Pioneer also hire quality program managers and have sponsored H-1B visa workers historically. Manufacturing and healthcare employers across the state account for the majority of quality program manager sponsorship activity.
Which visa types are most common for quality program manager roles in Iowa?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for quality program managers in Iowa, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field, qualifying it as a specialty occupation. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may pursue the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional category. Those with extraordinary ability in quality systems may explore the O-1 visa, though it is less common for this role.
Which cities in Iowa have the most quality program manager sponsorship jobs?
Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, and the Quad Cities region (Davenport and Bettendorf) account for the highest concentration of quality program manager jobs with visa sponsorship in Iowa. Des Moines anchors financial services and healthcare employers, Cedar Rapids hosts major aerospace and manufacturing operations, and the Quad Cities corridor is home to heavy equipment and industrial manufacturers with active quality functions.
How to find quality program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Iowa?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship. You can search and filter for quality program manager roles in Iowa to see employers actively open to sponsoring. Unlike general job boards, Migrate Mate surfaces sponsorship-focused listings, which saves significant time when targeting Iowa's manufacturing, aerospace, and healthcare employers known to hire internationally for quality functions.
What should international quality program managers know about working in Iowa specifically?
Iowa's quality program manager roles are heavily tied to manufacturing and food production cycles, meaning hiring often aligns with capital investment and production expansion timelines rather than fixed recruiting seasons. The state's cost of living means prevailing wage requirements for H-1B certification are generally lower than coastal markets. Iowa State University and the University of Iowa produce engineering graduates, creating a local talent pipeline that employers supplement with international hires for specialized quality systems expertise.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored quality program manager jobs in Iowa?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
