In this role, you will help shape and maintain the technical roadmap for MMA’s Salesforce platform, while providing architecture oversight across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Pardot / Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, integrations, workflow automation, reporting, and related platform capabilities.
You’ll play a key role in strengthening Salesforce delivery by establishing technical standards, guiding solution design, reviewing configuration and code approaches, supporting DevOps and release management practices, and helping ensure the platform evolves in alignment with business needs and enterprise technology standards.
This role is ideal for someone who can operate as both a strategic architecture partner and a hands-on technical leader — someone who can challenge assumptions, guide technical teams, mentor administrators and developers, and help bring structure, governance, and delivery discipline to a complex Salesforce environment.
Our future colleague.
We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- Significant experience as a Salesforce Technical Architect or Lead Salesforce Architect in a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce platform architecture.
- Experience translating business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions across configuration, Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, data model, security, reporting, and integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to define and govern Salesforce architecture standards, design patterns, naming conventions, release standards, and documentation expectations.
- Experience guiding Salesforce administrators, developers, consultants, vendors, and distributed delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security, sharing model, profiles, permission sets, roles, data quality, and platform performance considerations.
- Experience designing integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns, or integration platforms such as MuleSoft.
- Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps, environment management, release management, deployment tools, and change control processes.
- Ability to review technical designs, challenge solution approaches, and ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, and aligned with platform standards.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs in business terms.
- Experience partnering with delivery leads, product owners, business analysts, and QA/UAT stakeholders to support predictable solution delivery.
- Ability to identify technical debt, assess platform risk, and help prioritize modernization activities.
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
- Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, Technical Architect, Platform Developer, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant, or Platform App Builder.
- Experience with Pardot / Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, CRMA, Tableau, Data Cloud, Agentforce, or related Salesforce ecosystem capabilities.
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools such as Flosum, Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms.
- Experience in insurance, brokerage, financial services, or regulated enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, DevOps practices, SDLC governance, and enterprise change management.
- Experience working with onshore, offshore, nearshore, and vendor delivery models.
- Experience supporting workflow modernization, document management, portals, data standardization, or business process automation.
We know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes. Don’t be shy. If you’re close, we’d be very interested in meeting you.

Which companies sponsor visas for technical architects in New York?
Financial services firms including JPMorgan Chase, Citibank, and Goldman Sachs regularly sponsor technical architects, as do global consulting firms like Accenture, Deloitte, and Cognizant. Large technology employers such as IBM and Verizon also have established sponsorship programs. These organizations typically have dedicated immigration support teams and file H-1B visa petitions annually for technical architect positions across their New York offices.
Which visa types are most common for technical architect roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for technical architects in New York, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1A or L-1B status through intracompany transfers are also well-represented, particularly at multinational consulting and technology firms with major New York offices.
Which cities in New York have the most technical architect sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the majority of sponsored technical architect roles in New York, driven by concentration of financial institutions, global consulting firms, and enterprise technology companies. Buffalo and Albany have a smaller but growing share of sponsorship activity, connected to state government technology initiatives and regional healthcare systems. Remote-friendly positions headquartered in New York City extend opportunity beyond the five boroughs.
How to find technical architect visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter technical architect roles by state, including New York. Unlike general job boards, every listing on Migrate Mate is screened for sponsorship eligibility, saving significant time. Focusing your search on financial services, consulting, and enterprise technology employers in Manhattan will surface the highest concentration of open technical architect positions in New York.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical architects seeking sponsorship in New York?
New York's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are set at levels reflecting the high cost of the New York City metro area, so employers filing Labor Condition Applications for Manhattan-based roles must meet those benchmarks. New York also has a strong pipeline of technical talent from universities like Columbia, Cornell Tech, and NYU, which means sponsored candidates typically need clearly differentiated experience to stand out in the application process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical architect jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
