Which artificial intelligence companies sponsor TN visas in New York?
IBM, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Bloomberg, Google, and Meta all have significant AI operations in New York and have historically filed TN petitions for qualifying roles. Financial services firms with large quantitative and data science teams are particularly active, alongside media technology companies and cloud infrastructure providers with New York engineering offices. Sponsorship patterns vary by team and hiring cycle, so confirming directly with the employer is essential.
Which cities in New York have the most artificial intelligence TN sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the overwhelming majority of AI TN roles in New York state, particularly in Midtown, the Flatiron District, and Lower Manhattan where finance, media, and enterprise tech firms cluster. Buffalo and Albany have smaller but growing AI presences tied to university research partnerships and state-funded technology initiatives. Remote and hybrid arrangements with New York-headquartered employers are also common across the state.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
Roles that consistently qualify include computer scientist, mathematician, statistician, and systems analyst, provided the position genuinely requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Machine learning engineer, data scientist, and AI research scientist positions typically fit within these TN occupation categories. Roles framed primarily around project management or business strategy, even within AI teams, may face greater scrutiny and may not qualify under TN occupation definitions.
How do I find artificial intelligence TN sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface AI roles in New York where employers are open to TN sponsorship, without sorting through postings that require green card or citizenship status. Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on international candidates, which makes it more targeted than general job boards for finding New York AI employers familiar with the TN process for Canadian and Mexican nationals.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in artificial intelligence?
New York's highly competitive AI hiring market means employers are generally familiar with work authorization processes, but TN eligibility still depends on how the specific role is defined, not just the job title. New York City's density of financial services firms also means many AI roles involve regulated environments where additional compliance checks are standard. Canadian nationals can present their TN documentation directly at a port of entry, while Mexican nationals must apply at a U.S. consulate before starting work.
