The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, minor and major repair of both production and process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment, systems, and building in a manufacturing environment.
- Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Fixes machine breakdowns in a prompt skillful manner, minimizing equipment downtime.
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical (motors, solenoids, etc.).
- Troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic (air cylinders, electro-pneumatic solenoids, etc.).
- Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics (cylinders, motors, solenoids, etc.).
- Assists in installing, inspecting new equipment, and servicing installations.
- Provides support to co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, and engineers as necessary to support project and renovation work.
- Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments.
- Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing PPE as required.
- Light construction consisting of framing, painting, plumbing, and miscellaneous repair duties.
Skills for Success:
- Previous experience in an industrial environment or other related fields.
- Comfortable with manufacturing processes.
- Proven resource and problem solver.
- Must be hands-on, detail oriented.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledgeable of diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
- Experience using a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
- Must be able to multi-task, work independently, and within a team structure.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interpersonal skills.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma, or GED is required.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
- Intermediate electric maintenance knowledge.
