Which companies sponsor visas for product marketing roles in North Carolina?
The most active sponsors for product marketing roles in North Carolina include SAS Institute in Cary, Red Hat in Raleigh, Lenovo's North American headquarters in Morrisville, and Bandwidth in Raleigh. Charlotte-based financial technology and banking firms such as Bank of America and LendingTree have also sponsored product marketing positions. Sponsorship activity is highest at established tech and enterprise software companies rather than early-stage startups.
Which visa types are most common for product marketing roles in North Carolina?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for product marketing roles in North Carolina, as these positions typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT through a North Carolina university can begin working before H-1B sponsorship is secured. L-1B visas are also used when candidates transfer from an overseas office of a multinational employer with a North Carolina presence.
Which cities in North Carolina have the most product marketing sponsorship jobs?
Raleigh and Durham in the Research Triangle account for the largest share of product marketing sponsorship jobs in North Carolina, driven by the concentration of tech, software, and life sciences companies in the area. Charlotte is a secondary hub, particularly for fintech and financial services marketing roles. Cary, home to SAS Institute, and Morrisville, where Lenovo's U.S. headquarters is located, are also notable for product marketing hiring.
How to find product marketing visa sponsorship jobs in North Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters product marketing jobs in North Carolina specifically by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from sorting through postings that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces roles from companies with verified sponsorship histories in the state. For product marketing specifically, focusing your search on the Research Triangle and Charlotte metro areas on Migrate Mate will give you the most relevant results.
Are there state-specific factors that affect product marketing visa sponsorship in North Carolina?
North Carolina's Research Triangle Park is one of the denser concentrations of tech and life sciences employers in the Southeast, which means a relatively higher number of companies familiar with H-1B sponsorship processes compared to other Southern states. The presence of major research universities including NC State, Duke, and UNC Chapel Hill creates a consistent pipeline of internationally educated candidates, which has normalized sponsorship among larger employers in the region. Smaller companies outside the Triangle may have less prior sponsorship experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product marketing jobs in North Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
