Which companies sponsor visas for strategy associates in Ohio?
Consulting firms with Ohio offices, including Deloitte, PwC, and Accenture, have sponsored strategy associates through the H-1B visa program. Large corporations headquartered or regionally based in Ohio, such as Procter & Gamble, Fifth Third Bank, and Nationwide Insurance, also appear in DOL disclosure data with strategy and planning role sponsorships. Sponsorship patterns vary by year and business need, so confirming current openings directly with employers is necessary.
Which visa types are most common for strategy associate roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy associates in Ohio, as these roles typically require a bachelor's or advanced degree in business, economics, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with degrees from Canadian or Mexican institutions may explore the TN visa under USMCA. Australian citizens may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is available year-round.
Which cities in Ohio have the most strategy associate sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads Ohio for strategy associate sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of financial services firms, insurance companies, and consulting practices. Cleveland follows, with a strong presence in healthcare strategy through systems like Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals. Cincinnati is notable for consumer goods and retail strategy roles, particularly around large corporate employers in the greater metro area. Smaller markets like Dayton see fewer sponsorship postings.
How to find strategy associate visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for strategy associate roles in Ohio without sorting through positions that do not offer sponsorship. You can filter by location, role type, and visa category to surface relevant Ohio-based openings. Because sponsorship availability changes as employers open and close roles, checking Migrate Mate regularly gives you the most current view of what is actively hiring.
Are there state-specific considerations for strategy associates seeking sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal standards, but prevailing wage obligations under H-1B rules apply to all Ohio postings and are benchmarked to local wage levels, which differ by metro area. Columbus and Cincinnati wage levels for strategy roles tend to be lower than coastal markets, which can affect the wage floor employers must meet. Ohio's strong university pipeline, including Ohio State and Case Western Reserve, means employers are familiar with sponsoring recent graduates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy associate jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
