Which companies sponsor visas for operations specialists in Oklahoma?
Energy sector employers are among the most active sponsors for operations specialist roles in Oklahoma. Williams Companies and ONEOK in Tulsa hire for pipeline and midstream operations coordination. In Oklahoma City, Devon Energy and Paycom sponsor operations roles tied to corporate functions. Aerospace supplier Spirit AeroSystems in Tulsa also hires operations specialists for manufacturing support and logistics coordination.
Which visa types are most common for operations specialist roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for operations specialists in Oklahoma, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, industrial engineering, or supply chain management. Some positions qualify for TN visa status for Canadian and Mexican nationals under business or industrial engineer categories. L-1B visas apply when a multinational employer transfers a specialist with proprietary operational knowledge.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most operations specialist sponsorship jobs?
Tulsa and Oklahoma City account for the large majority of operations specialist sponsorship activity in Oklahoma. Tulsa's energy and aerospace industries generate consistent demand for operations coordination roles. Oklahoma City sees sponsorship from corporate employers in energy, healthcare administration, and technology services. Smaller cities like Broken Arrow, adjacent to Tulsa, also have manufacturing and distribution employers that occasionally sponsor operations roles.
How to find operations specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate filters operations specialist roles in Oklahoma specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, which saves significant time compared to reviewing general job postings. You can search by city, industry, and role type to find employers actively hiring internationally. Given the concentration of energy and aerospace employers in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, filtering by those cities on Migrate Mate typically surfaces the most relevant opportunities for operations specialist candidates.
Are there state-specific considerations for operations specialist sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's economy is heavily weighted toward energy, aerospace, and agriculture, so operations specialist roles often require industry-specific knowledge in those sectors. Employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the specific occupation and geographic area, which in Oklahoma is generally benchmarked against Tulsa and Oklahoma City metropolitan data. University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University both produce operations and supply chain graduates, creating local pipelines that some employers draw from alongside international candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations specialist jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
