Which companies sponsor visas for business data analysts in Oregon?
Nike, Intel, and Oracle are among the most active H-1B visa sponsors for analytical roles in Oregon, based on Department of Labor disclosure data. Portland-area employers such as Daimler Trucks North America, Precision Castparts, and Providence Health Services have also filed LCA applications for business data analyst positions. Technology consulting firms with Oregon offices, including Wipro and Infosys, are additional sources of sponsorship for this role.
Which visa types are most common for business data analyst roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for business data analyst positions in Oregon, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, statistics, or computer science. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT may also find Oregon employers willing to initiate H-1B sponsorship before their work authorization expires. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role fits an eligible USMCA category.
Which cities in Oregon have the most business data analyst sponsorship jobs?
Portland is by far the largest market for business data analyst roles with visa sponsorship in Oregon, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and technology companies. The Hillsboro and Beaverton area is a strong secondary market due to Intel's large campus and the broader semiconductor supply chain. Salem and Eugene have more limited opportunities but occasionally see postings from healthcare systems, universities, and state government contractors.
How to find business data analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for international candidates searching for visa-sponsored roles, including business data analyst positions in Oregon. You can filter by state and role to surface employers who have a documented history of H-1B sponsorship in this field. Focusing your search on Portland and the Hillsboro-Beaverton corridor will return the highest volume of relevant Oregon postings. Migrate Mate's job board is updated regularly, making it a practical starting point for tracking new openings from sponsors like Nike and Intel.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for business data analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Oregon does not have a state income tax advantage for visa holders, but its concentration of technology and manufacturing employers creates consistent demand for business data analysts. Intel's Hillsboro campus is one of the largest private employers in the state and a significant source of H-1B petitions for analytical roles. Oregon Health and Science University and Portland State University produce local talent pipelines, but both institutions also recruit internationally and have sponsored work visas for analysts in research and administrative contexts.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business data analyst jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
