Oregon's largest visa sponsors at the vice president level include Nike in Beaverton, Intel in Hillsboro, and Daimler Trucks North America in Portland. Financial institutions like Umpqua Bank and healthcare systems such as Providence and Legacy Health also sponsor senior leadership roles. Technology firms in the Portland metro area account for a significant share of H-1B filings for VP-level positions.
Which visa types are most common for vice president roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa for vice president roles in Oregon, covering positions in technology, finance, engineering, and operations that require a specialized degree. The O-1A is increasingly used for senior executives with documented achievements, awards, or high-salary evidence. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying VP roles may pursue TN visa status, while some executives transfer via the L-1A intracompany transferee category.
How to find vice president visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse vice president openings in Oregon without sifting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by location, industry, and seniority level. Given that VP roles in Oregon are concentrated in Portland's tech, manufacturing, and financial services sectors, filtering by those industries on Migrate Mate will surface the most relevant opportunities.
Which cities in Oregon have the most vice president sponsorship jobs?

What should international candidates know about pursuing VP roles in Oregon?

Oregon's Department of Labor prevailing wage data governs the minimum wage an employer must certify on the Labor Condition Application, and VP-level positions typically fall into the highest prevailing wage tiers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vice president jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
