Which companies sponsor visas for vice presidents in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's largest visa sponsors for senior leadership roles include energy companies like Devon Energy, ONEOK, and Williams Companies in Tulsa, along with Oklahoma City-based employers such as Hobby Lobby, Love's Travel Stops, and major regional banks. Healthcare systems including Integris Health and INTEGRIS Baptist also hire at the vice president level and have sponsored work visas for executive talent.
Which visa types are most common for vice president roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for vice president roles, covering specialty occupations that typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. The L-1A is also relevant for vice presidents transferring within a multinational company, as it's specifically designed for executives and managers. O-1 visas apply to candidates with extraordinary ability in their field.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most vice president sponsorship jobs?
Tulsa and Oklahoma City account for nearly all vice president-level sponsorship activity in Oklahoma. Tulsa leads in energy sector executive roles, with headquartered companies like ONEOK and Williams Companies regularly filling senior positions. Oklahoma City has a broader mix across finance, healthcare, retail, and government contracting, making it the more diverse market for VP-level international hires.
How to find vice president visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find vice president visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma, with listings filtered specifically for sponsored roles at the executive level. Because VP positions are rarely advertised with explicit sponsorship details, Migrate Mate's filtering helps international candidates identify employers with an active sponsorship history in Oklahoma rather than cold-applying to companies that may not sponsor.
Are there any state-specific considerations for vice presidents seeking visa sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's economy is heavily weighted toward energy, which means vice president candidates with oil and gas, midstream, or renewables expertise have the strongest pipeline to sponsored roles. The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University also create regional talent ties that some employers factor into hiring. Prevailing wage requirements for sponsored VP roles are determined by DOL wage data for the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas, which can differ from national benchmarks.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vice president jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
