Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for vice president roles?
Technology companies in the Silicon Slopes corridor, including Qualtrics, Domo, and Adobe's Utah operations, have sponsored visas for senior leadership positions. Financial services firms with Salt Lake City offices, such as Goldman Sachs and Fidelity Investments, also hire internationally at the VP level. Enterprise software, fintech, and healthcare technology companies tend to have the most active sponsorship histories for executive roles in the state.
What visa types are most common for vice president roles in Utah?
H-1B visa is the most common visa category for VP-level roles in Utah, as most require a specialty degree and the position is employer-sponsored. O-1A is a realistic alternative for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement, such as published research, industry awards, or a track record of leading significant business outcomes. L-1A applies when a multinational company transfers an existing VP or manager from a foreign affiliated office into a Utah-based role.
Which cities in Utah have the most vice president visa sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of VP-level sponsorship activity in Utah, driven by its concentration of technology firms, financial institutions, and corporate headquarters. Provo and Lehi, the core of the Silicon Slopes tech corridor, are close behind, with a high density of software and SaaS companies that hire at the senior leadership level. South Jordan and Sandy also host regional office campuses that occasionally sponsor VPs.
How to find vice president visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for VP-level roles in Utah where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for sponsorship-eligible positions, saving significant time compared to manually researching each company's hiring history. Searching by role seniority and filtering to Utah surfaces the employers in tech, finance, and healthcare that are most likely to support an H-1B or O-1A at the executive level.
Are there state-specific factors that affect VP-level visa sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wage determinations for VP-level roles reflect the Salt Lake City and Provo metropolitan areas, which are lower than coastal tech markets, which can affect H-1B Labor Condition Application filings. The state's strong university pipeline from the University of Utah and Brigham Young University creates local competition for senior roles. However, Utah's rapid corporate expansion, particularly in fintech and enterprise software, has sustained international hiring demand at the executive level.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vice president jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
