Where Ambition Meets Innovation
Build a career that matches all your initiative with an impressive dose of innovation. From cutting-edge resources and a collaborative environment to the freedom to make an impact and more, you’ll find the ingredients you need at LPL Financial to shape your success while helping clients pursue their financial goals.
Job Overview:
Do you get energy from taking a program that works and making it work at 10x the scale? Are you the person that turns a growing pile of one-off requests into a clean, repeatable process nobody has to think about? Do you like operating where growth strategy meets real execution, close enough to advisors to see what actually moves their business?
If so, the Assistant Vice President, Growth Program Operations role in our Growth Strategy and Enablement organization could be for you.
This role sits in our Strategic Growth Solutions team, which designs and scales the programs that power advisor growth at LPL. As Assistant Vice President, Growth Program Operations, you are responsible for the end-to-end operational health and scaling of our advisor referral and partnership programs, including a referral program that lets advisors compensate centers of influence for qualified client referrals. This is a build-and-scale role: you will take programs through a step-change in volume without letting service quality, compliance rigor, or advisor experience slip.
You will help turn a fast-growing set of programs into durable infrastructure, so that advisor demand is met consistently, enablement is built once and reused, and the business can absorb growth instead of being strained by it.
Responsibilities:
Own the programs
- Lead a newly acquired advisor referral network program overseeing program design, process, policy and advisor experience end-to-end
- Own program management and operational execution for an employer-based financial education and advice partnership, from requirements scoping through steady-state delivery
Build for scale
- Design repeatable processes and operating infrastructure that support materially higher program throughput without added friction
- Establish the metrics, reporting, and service-level standards that show these programs are healthy and scaling, and surface issues early
Drive cross-functional execution
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across Compliance, Licensing, Onboarding, and Compensation as volume scales, keeping compensated-referral arrangements clean and well-controlled
- Serve as the operational voice in cross-functional planning, aligning stakeholders on priorities, capacity, and tradeoffs
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for strong collaborators who deliver exceptional client experiences and thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments. Our ideal candidates pursue greatness, act with integrity, and are driven to help our clients succeed. We value those who embrace creativity, continuous improvement, and contribute to a culture where we win together and create and share joy in our work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, Operations, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in program management, business operations, or a related role, including demonstrated experience scaling a program or process through a significant increase in volume
- 6+ years’ experience leading cross-functional execution in a matrixed environment, coordinating across compliance, operations, and support functions
- 2+ years’ experience in the wealth management industry, with working knowledge of how financial advisors grow their business
Core Competencies:
- Strong process design, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to run day-to-day operations while simultaneously building repeatable process and infrastructure that reduces manual effort over time
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including comfort working with data to manage program performance, capacity and service levels
- Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to advisors and senior leaders
Preferences:
- Experience managing advisor-facing programs
- Familiarity with the compliance considerations around compensation referrals (e.g., solicitor and promoter arrangements)
- Process improvement or project management credential (PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma) a plus
Pay Range:
$99,704.00 - $166,139.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Additionally, LPL Total Rewards package is highly competitive, designed to support your success at work, at home, and at play – such as 401K matching, health benefits, employee stock options, paid time off, volunteer time off, and more. Your recruiter will be happy to discuss all that LPL has to offer!

Which companies in South Carolina sponsor visas for vice president roles?
South Carolina employers that have sponsored senior leadership positions include Michelin North America (headquartered in Greenville), Blackbaud in Charleston, and BMW Manufacturing in Spartanburg. Financial services firms along the I-77 corridor near Fort Mill and Rock Hill also sponsor VP-level talent. Sponsorship at this level is highly case-specific and typically involves established multinationals with dedicated HR and legal infrastructure.
Which visa types are most common for vice president roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B visa is the most common work visa for vice presidents in South Carolina, provided the role requires a specialty occupation degree. The L-1A is frequently used for intracompany transferees moving into VP positions from a foreign parent or affiliate. Senior executives at multinational firms may also qualify for the E-1 or E-2 treaty visas depending on their nationality, and O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most vice president visa sponsorship jobs?
Greenville leads for VP sponsorship due to its concentration of manufacturing multinationals, including Michelin and BMW's supplier network. Charleston follows, driven by technology, logistics, and aerospace employers like Boeing. Columbia, as the state capital, anchors financial services, insurance, and government contracting VP roles. The Fort Mill and Rock Hill corridor, bordering Charlotte, attracts corporate headquarters with active senior-level hiring.
How to find vice president visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it practical to search for vice president roles in South Carolina without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. Because VP openings at sponsoring employers are posted infrequently, setting up alerts on Migrate Mate for South Carolina executive roles helps ensure you see new listings as they appear rather than checking periodically.
Are there state-specific considerations for vice president sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
South Carolina's manufacturing-heavy economy means many VP sponsorships originate with foreign-owned multinationals, which simplifies the L-1A intracompany transfer pathway. The state has no personal income tax on Social Security but does levy standard income tax, which affects total compensation planning. Employers filing H-1B petitions for VP roles must meet DOL prevailing wage requirements for executive occupations in the specific metropolitan area where the position is located.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vice president jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
