Which companies in Kansas sponsor visas for vice president roles?
Kansas-based employers with a history of senior-level sponsorship include Spirit AeroSystems and Textron Aviation in Wichita, Evergy and Cerner (now Oracle Health) in the Kansas City metro, and INTRUST Bank in Wichita. Large multinationals with Kansas operations are generally more equipped to navigate the H-1B visa petition process required for vice president-level hires than smaller regional firms.
Which visa types are most common for vice president roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for vice president roles in Kansas, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. L-1A intracompany transferee visas are also relevant when candidates are being transferred from a foreign affiliate into a VP role at a Kansas operation. O-1A visas apply in cases of demonstrated extraordinary ability.
Which cities in Kansas have the most vice president sponsorship jobs?
Wichita generates the most vice president sponsorship activity in Kansas, driven by its aviation manufacturing concentration. Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro area on the Kansas side are strong for finance, technology, and healthcare VP roles. Topeka sees occasional sponsorship tied to state-adjacent organizations and insurance sector employers headquartered there.
How to find vice president visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for vice president roles in Kansas without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and seniority level to surface relevant openings across Wichita, Overland Park, and the Kansas City metro, where most Kansas VP sponsorship activity is concentrated.
Are there any Kansas-specific considerations for vice presidents seeking visa sponsorship?
Kansas does not impose state-level restrictions on visa sponsorship beyond federal requirements, but prevailing wage compliance is particularly scrutinized at the VP level given the seniority. Employers must demonstrate the offered wage meets the DOL prevailing wage for the specific location, which differs between Wichita and the Kansas City metro. Kansas's aviation and agribusiness sectors also have unique occupational classification patterns that affect how specialty occupation eligibility is assessed.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vice president jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
