Search Vice President Jobs in WashingtonVice President Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies in Washington sponsor visas for vice president roles?
Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, Expedia, and Zillow are among the Washington employers with documented histories of sponsoring senior leadership roles including vice presidents. Biotech and life sciences firms in the Seattle-Bellevue corridor, such as Adaptive Biotechnologies and Nuvation Bio, also hire at the VP level and have sponsored work visas for international candidates in executive and scientific leadership positions.
What visa types are most common for vice presidents in Washington?
The L-1A intracompany transferee visa is frequently used for vice presidents who are transferring from a foreign affiliate, subsidiary, or parent company into a U.S.-based executive or managerial role. The H-1B is another common pathway for VP roles tied to a specialty occupation. Senior candidates with extraordinary ability may also qualify for an O-1A, which does not require employer sponsorship in the same way.
Which cities in Washington have the most vice president sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and Bellevue account for the overwhelming majority of VP-level sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by the headquarters presence of Amazon and Microsoft respectively. Redmond is also significant given Microsoft's main campus. Smaller but notable concentrations exist in Kirkland and Bothell, particularly in cloud technology, healthcare IT, and biotech, where mid-size companies occasionally hire sponsored executive talent.
How to find vice president visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it practical to search VP-level openings in Washington without sifting through roles that do not offer immigration support. You can narrow results by state and seniority to surface relevant opportunities across technology, aerospace, life sciences, and financial services, the industries where Washington-based employers most actively sponsor international candidates at the vice president level.
Are there state-specific considerations for vice president sponsorship in Washington?
Washington has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations and total compensation benchmarking used in H-1B Labor Condition Applications. VP roles in Washington are typically classified at wage level IV under Department of Labor guidelines, reflecting the seniority and decision-making authority of the position. Employers filing LCAs for Seattle-area vice president roles must meet prevailing wages benchmarked to one of the highest-cost metro areas in the country.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vice president jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
