Which companies sponsor visas for vice presidents in Tennessee?
Some of Tennessee's largest employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for senior roles include HCA Healthcare and Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, FedEx and International Paper in Memphis, and Eastman Chemical in Kingsport. Large financial institutions headquartered or with major operations in Nashville, such as Asurion and Bridgestone Americas, have also sponsored executive-level positions. Sponsorship availability varies by role, business need, and timing.
Which visa types are most common for vice president roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa for vice president roles in Tennessee, covering specialty occupations that typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field. The L-1A is relevant for candidates transferring from a foreign affiliate or subsidiary into a managerial or executive role. The O-1A applies when a candidate has demonstrated extraordinary ability in their field. Each category has distinct requirements, and employers determine which fits the specific role.
How to find vice president visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find vice president roles in Tennessee where employers are open to visa sponsorship. You can filter by state and seniority level to surface relevant listings across Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and other Tennessee markets. Because vice president roles are senior positions with longer hiring timelines, checking regularly and setting up alerts on Migrate Mate helps you stay ahead of new postings.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most vice president sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads Tennessee for vice president-level sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of healthcare systems, financial services firms, and technology companies. Memphis is a secondary hub with strength in logistics, supply chain, and consumer goods due to FedEx's headquarters presence. Knoxville has a smaller but growing market, particularly in energy, engineering, and advanced manufacturing tied to Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee's research ecosystem.
Are there state-specific considerations for vice president visa sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which can affect how employers structure total compensation packages for senior hires, though this has no direct bearing on visa eligibility. For H-1B sponsorship, employers must file a Labor Condition Application certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the metropolitan statistical area, whether Nashville, Memphis, or Knoxville. Vice president roles are senior enough that demonstrating specialty occupation status requires careful documentation of the specific degree requirements tied to the position.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vice president jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
