JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician to join our dynamic team at Jefferson Health – Einstein Philly. The Hospitalist will be responsible for managing the comprehensive care of hospitalized patients, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct inpatient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients.
- Coordinate with specialists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharges, ensuring continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including Rapid Response Team activations and Code Blue situations.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and communication.
- Mentor and supervise medical students, residents, or advanced practice providers as applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Valid Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Active DEA and CDS registrations.
- Minimum of 3 years of residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with hospital experience.
- Strong clinical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in hospitalist medicine within an academic or community hospital setting.
- Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems.
- Interest in teaching and mentoring medical trainees.
