Which companies sponsor visas for business sales representatives in South Carolina?
South Carolina employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity in sales-adjacent roles include BMW Manufacturing, Michelin North America, Bosch, and Volvo Cars. Larger distributors and technology firms operating out of Columbia and Greenville have also filed Labor Condition Applications for business development and commercial sales positions. Sponsorship frequency varies by company size and the specialized nature of the role.
Which visa types are most common for business sales representative roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business sales representatives when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, or a technical discipline tied to the product being sold. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business categories. The L-1B can apply when an international employee is transferred into a South Carolina sales role from an overseas affiliate.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most business sales representative sponsorship jobs?
Greenville and Spartanburg lead in sponsorship activity for business sales roles, driven by the manufacturing and automotive supply chain concentrated in the Upstate region. Columbia supports B2B sales hiring across government contracting, healthcare, and technology sectors. Charleston's growing logistics and port-related commerce creates demand for commercial sales representatives, particularly in import and export-connected industries.
How to find business sales representative visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for business sales representative roles in South Carolina without sifting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can narrow results by metro area, including Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston, to focus on employers actively hiring sponsored sales professionals in the state.
Are there any state-specific considerations for business sales representative visa sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina's economy is heavily manufacturing-driven, so business sales representative roles that are tied to technical or industrial products tend to have a clearer path to H-1B eligibility because the specialty occupation requirement is easier to document. Employers must pay the prevailing wage for the role and location as determined by the Department of Labor. Sales positions with a primarily commission-based structure can complicate LCA wage compliance, so employers in South Carolina typically structure sponsored sales roles with a base salary component.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business sales representative jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
