To scale this leadership, we are seeking a visionary Principal Program Specialist for the Strategic AI Coalition for Social Impact - a high‑visibility role driving one of the company’s most strategic industry initiatives. This leader will expand the coalition’s reach, increase both the volume and diversity of participating organizations, and spearhead initiatives designed to remove the barriers to successful AI adoption across the social impact sector. They will be responsible for designing and facilitating engaging, ongoing connection across the AI Coalition for Social Impact—creating meaningful ways for members to collaborate, learn, and advance shared goals through a mix of virtual and in‑person engagement, including convenings, working sessions, and collaborative forums. Over time, this leader will steward a growing roadmap of initiatives, including standards, cross‑sector pilots, and collaborative learning programs that remove barriers to responsible AI adoption, accelerate AI readiness across the sector, and position Blackbaud as the trusted convener for responsible, transformative innovation, beginning with the launch and scaling of the AI Certification for Social Impact, establishing the foundational knowledge and confidence organizations need to adopt AI responsibly.

- Serve as the primary relationship leader for coalition members, ensuring high engagement, clear communication, and measurable value.
- Cultivate partnerships with industry groups, academic institutions, technology collaborators, funders, and government organizations to expand reach and impact.
- Facilitate advisory groups and working committees that guide program direction and content.
- Design, manage, and facilitate coalition programming, including convenings, webinars, workshops, pilots, roundtables, and executive briefings.
- Design and manage a structured onboarding experience for new coalition members, including orientation to goals, governance, engagement pathways, and active integration into working groups and initiatives.
- Build and maintain operational frameworks, governance structures, onboarding processes, and resource hubs for coalition members.
- Set and monitor KPIs related to membership growth, engagement, program adoption, and sector impact.
- Own program and project management end-to-end for Coalition activities, developing clear strategic briefs, aligning internal and external stakeholders, tracking progress to deadlines and keeping executive stakeholders informed.
- Partner with coalition members and internal teams to co‑create and release coalition‑led content that advances shared learning and responsible AI adoption across the social impact sector.
- Support relevant Blackbaud and Blackbaud Institute content initiatives by thoughtfully engaging coalition members as contributors to research, convenings, and knowledge‑sharing efforts, ensuring participation is aligned to the coalition’s mission and member value.
- As needed, represent the coalition externally through high impact speaking engagements, conferences, webinars, and media opportunities, amplifying both coalition work and Blackbaud Institute research to shape the sector’s understanding of responsible AI and the future of social impact innovation.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Legal, and L&D to ensure coalition initiatives align with Blackbaud’s Responsible AI strategy, customer needs, and go‑to‑market motion.
- Support the scaling and adoption of the AI Certification for Social Impact across the industry and inside Blackbaud.

Which companies sponsor visas for customer program managers in South Carolina?
Employers with active program management functions and a documented history of H-1B sponsorship in South Carolina include Michelin North America (Greenville), BMW Manufacturing (Spartanburg), Blackbaud (Charleston), and SCANA/Dominion Energy (Columbia). Technology services firms and healthcare systems operating in the Research Triangle corridor also maintain sponsoring operations near the state's borders.
Which visa types are most common for customer program manager roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa for customer program managers in South Carolina, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding L-1A or L-1B status through multinational employers like Michelin or BMW may also transfer into program management roles without needing a new petition.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most customer program manager sponsorship jobs?
Greenville and Spartanburg lead due to the concentration of international manufacturing headquarters, particularly in automotive and advanced materials. Charleston is a secondary hub driven by technology companies like Blackbaud and growing logistics operations. Columbia, the state capital, offers program management opportunities within government contractors, healthcare systems, and university-affiliated research organizations.
How to find customer program manager visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse customer program manager roles in South Carolina without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. The platform surfaces roles from employers that have filed Labor Condition Applications or sponsored visas previously, making it more efficient than general job searches for candidates who need sponsorship.
Are there state-specific considerations for customer program managers seeking sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina's economy is heavily anchored in advanced manufacturing, logistics, and financial technology, which shapes the program management roles available. Many sponsoring employers are large multinationals with dedicated HR and legal teams experienced in H-1B filings. University of South Carolina and Clemson University produce local talent pipelines, but international graduates from those institutions also compete for the same sponsored roles at regional employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored customer program manager jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
