ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Associate IT Support Intern will provide first-level technical support to employees across the organization while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced eCommerce environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to build foundational IT skills while supporting daily operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with hardware and software setup.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support:
- Provide front-line support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, monitors, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, Microsoft 365, productivity tools, and standard business applications
- Assist employees with password resets, MFA setup, account access, and basic user administration tasks
- Monitor and respond to help desk tickets in a timely and customer-focused manner
- Escalate more advanced technical issues to senior IT team members as needed
Hardware & Software Support:
- Prepare and deploy new employee workstations and office equipment
- Install approved applications, software packages, and updates
- Assist with device imaging, patching, and maintaining compliance standards
- Support hardware troubleshooting, warranty coordination, and equipment tracking
- Assist with conference room technology, printers, and shared office IT equipment
- Help troubleshoot basic Wi-Fi and networking connectivity issues
Onboarding, Offboarding & Documentation:
- Set up accounts, devices, and permissions for new hires
- Collect and process returned equipment during employee offboarding
- Ensure onboarding and offboarding checklists are completed accurately
- Maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets
- Document troubleshooting steps, common issues, and resolutions for internal knowledgebase use
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- Fundamental understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, common business applications, and basic networking concepts
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow procedures, prioritize tasks, and escalate issues appropriately
- Eagerness to learn and grow technical skills in a collaborative environment
