Which companies sponsor visas for supply chain managers in Tennessee?
Several large Tennessee-based employers have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for supply chain managers. FedEx, headquartered in Memphis, regularly files H-1B petitions for logistics and supply chain roles. Nissan's Smyrna plant, Bridgestone Americas in Nashville, and Electrolux in Memphis are among manufacturers that have sponsored international candidates for supply chain and procurement positions.
Which visa types are most common for supply chain manager roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa for supply chain managers in Tennessee, as most roles require a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field, which satisfies the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational backgrounds may also qualify for the L-1A if transferring within the same company. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles meet NAFTA-listed classifications.
How to find supply chain manager visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for supply chain manager roles in Tennessee without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by city, such as Memphis, Nashville, or Chattanooga, and by industry. Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on international candidates, so every listing is relevant to your situation.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most supply chain manager sponsorship jobs?
Memphis is Tennessee's most active city for supply chain sponsorship, driven by FedEx's headquarters and the concentration of distribution and freight companies near its airport. Nashville follows, with corporate headquarters and a growing advanced manufacturing base. Chattanooga has attracted automotive and logistics employers, including Volkswagen's assembly plant, creating demand for supply chain managers with international backgrounds.
Are there any Tennessee-specific considerations for supply chain manager visa sponsorship?
Tennessee's supply chain sector is heavily tied to automotive, logistics, and distribution industries, so candidates with manufacturing or freight experience are well-positioned. Employers are required to pay the prevailing wage for the job location and role level as part of the H-1B Labor Condition Application process. University programs at University of Tennessee and Vanderbilt also produce graduate candidates, creating a competitive but active hiring environment for international applicants.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored supply chain manager jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
