Which companies sponsor visas for support associates in Tennessee?
Healthcare organizations such as HCA Healthcare and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, along with logistics and distribution companies concentrated in Memphis, have filed for work visa sponsorships for support-related roles. Technology and business services firms in the Nashville area also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsors for support associate positions in Tennessee.
Which visa types are most common for support associate roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for support associate roles that require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as IT support or technical customer success. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The O-1 applies only in cases of demonstrated extraordinary ability, which is uncommon for this role type.
How to find support associate visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Tennessee-based support associate openings where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. Rather than sorting through general job boards, you can search directly for sponsored roles in cities like Nashville, Memphis, and Knoxville and filter by role type to match your background.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most support associate sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads the state for sponsored support associate roles, driven by its healthcare, technology, and corporate services sectors. Memphis follows due to its logistics and supply chain industry concentration, with companies that employ large support teams. Knoxville, home to the University of Tennessee and several research-linked employers, also generates a smaller but consistent share of openings.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for support associates in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which can affect how employers structure compensation packages, though it does not directly impact visa eligibility. Sponsors must still meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific metropolitan area where the role is located. Nashville and Memphis fall under different wage determinations, so the required wage threshold varies by city.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored support associate jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
