Which medical devices companies sponsor TN visas in Tennessee?
Tennessee hosts several established medical devices employers with a history of sponsoring TN visas for Canadian and Mexican professionals. Companies like Smith+Nephew, which has significant operations in Memphis, along with contract manufacturers and device distributors in the Nashville and Knoxville corridors, regularly hire for roles that qualify under TN specialty occupation categories such as engineering and scientific positions.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most medical devices TN sponsorship jobs?
Memphis is the dominant medical devices hub in Tennessee, home to a concentration of orthopedic and surgical device companies. Nashville follows closely, supported by the broader healthcare industry anchored there. Knoxville and the Tri-Cities region also have manufacturing and quality operations for device companies. Candidates looking for TN-eligible roles are most likely to find openings in Memphis and Nashville.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
Roles that commonly qualify for TN status in the medical devices industry include mechanical and biomedical engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, regulatory affairs specialists with a science or engineering background, and research scientists. The position must require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field directly related to the job. General management or sales roles without a technical degree requirement typically do not qualify.
How do I find medical devices TN sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find medical devices jobs in Tennessee where employers are open to TN visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for TN-eligible roles, so you are not sorting through listings from employers unfamiliar with the visa category. Searching by the medical devices industry tag within Tennessee surfaces relevant openings in cities like Memphis and Nashville where device company hiring is most active.
Are there any Tennessee-specific considerations for TN visa sponsorship in medical devices?
Tennessee does not impose state-level work authorization requirements beyond federal standards, so TN visa holders can work for qualifying employers without additional state permits. However, roles in medical devices often involve FDA-regulated environments, meaning employers may require specific degree credentials that must align precisely with TN occupation categories. Candidates should confirm that their job title and degree field match a recognized TN specialty occupation before accepting an offer.
