Which companies sponsor visas for finance associates in Utah?
Zions Bancorporation, headquartered in Salt Lake City, is one of Utah's most established financial employers with a track record of sponsoring international workers. Goldman Sachs and Fidelity Investments maintain Utah operations and have sponsored H-1B visa workers in finance-related roles. Fintech companies and corporate finance teams at large tech employers in the Silicon Slopes corridor are also active sponsors for finance associate positions.
Which visa types are most common for finance associate roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for finance associates in Utah, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with a master's degree may benefit from the advanced degree exemption in the H-1B lottery. Those already on OPT or STEM OPT through a Utah university can begin working while an employer pursues H-1B sponsorship.
How to find finance associate visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for international job seekers and filters finance associate roles in Utah by visa sponsorship history, saving significant research time. Rather than sorting through postings that don't address sponsorship, Migrate Mate surfaces employers in Salt Lake City and the broader Wasatch Front who have demonstrated willingness to sponsor international candidates for finance roles.
Which cities in Utah have the most finance associate sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the majority of finance associate sponsorship opportunities in Utah, home to Zions Bancorporation's headquarters, regional offices of national banks, and a growing fintech sector. South Jordan and Sandy, both part of the greater Salt Lake metro, host back-office and corporate finance operations for several large financial services firms. Provo occasionally surfaces opportunities tied to its strong university-adjacent business community.
Are there state-specific considerations for finance associates seeking sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's Silicon Slopes corridor has blurred the line between traditional finance and technology, meaning finance associate roles here often carry expectations around data analysis and financial modeling tools, which can strengthen a sponsorship case by reinforcing specialty occupation status. Utah universities including the University of Utah and Brigham Young University produce finance graduates who enter the local talent pipeline, creating a competitive but internationally active hiring environment for sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored finance associate jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
