Which companies sponsor visas for financial analysts in Utah?
Several large employers with Utah operations have documented histories of sponsoring work visas for financial analysts, including Goldman Sachs, Fidelity Investments, eBay, Adobe, and Qualtrics. Regional banks such as Zions Bancorporation and national insurance firms also file sponsorships for analyst roles. Sponsorship activity is highest among companies with dedicated finance teams in Salt Lake City and the Silicon Slopes area.
Which visa types are most common for financial analyst roles in Utah?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for financial analysts in Utah, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics. Candidates already holding L-1B status through an intracompany transfer sometimes transition into analyst roles at multinationals. Australians should note that the E-3 visa is an alternative to the H-1B visa for qualifying positions.
Which cities in Utah have the most financial analyst sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of financial analyst sponsorship activity in Utah, driven by its concentration of banks, insurance companies, and corporate finance departments. Lehi and Provo, anchored by the Silicon Slopes tech cluster, generate additional demand particularly for FP&A and business intelligence analyst roles at companies like Adobe, Qualtrics, and Domo. Ogden sees more limited but steady activity.
How to find financial analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find financial analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Utah, as the platform filters roles specifically by sponsorship history and state. Use it to identify which Utah employers have actively sponsored H-1B or E-3 visa petitions for analyst titles. Filtering by city lets you focus on Salt Lake City or Silicon Slopes employers depending on your target sector, whether that's banking, fintech, or corporate finance.
Are there any state-specific considerations for financial analysts seeking sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B financial analyst positions are set at the county level by the Department of Labor and reflect Salt Lake County benchmarks for most urban postings. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University supply a strong pipeline of finance graduates, which can make sponsorship more competitive for entry-level roles. Analysts with CFA credentials or specialized skills in fintech or risk management tend to be stronger sponsorship candidates in Utah's market.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored financial analyst jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
