Which retail companies in Utah sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Utah retail employers with documented H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity include large national chains with regional headquarters or distribution centers in the Salt Lake City metro, such as Amazon, Target, and Walmart. Specialty retailers and e-commerce operations in areas like Lehi and Draper have also filed Labor Condition Applications for Singapore nationals in analytical and management roles. Sponsorship patterns vary by role type and business need, so checking DOL disclosure data directly is advisable.
Which cities in Utah have the most retail H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the majority of retail H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity in Utah, given its concentration of regional headquarters, corporate offices, and large distribution operations. The Wasatch Front corridor, including Sandy, Murray, and West Valley City, also hosts retail employers with sponsorship history. Lehi and Draper in Utah County have seen growth in tech-adjacent retail and e-commerce roles that can qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship.
What types of retail roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship applies to specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In retail, qualifying positions typically include merchandise planning analyst, retail buyer, supply chain analyst, e-commerce product manager, and retail operations manager. General sales associate or store manager roles without a degree requirement in a specific field do not ordinarily meet the specialty occupation standard. O*NET occupation profiles can help verify whether a specific retail role meets the requirement.

Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, you can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface Utah retail employers with verified H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history. This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to employers who have never sponsored a Singapore national. Filtering by the retail sector in Utah on Migrate Mate surfaces roles where sponsorship infrastructure is already in place, making your job search significantly more targeted.
Are there any Utah-specific or retail-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Utah has no state-level visa restrictions, but retail employers here tend to sponsor H-1B1 Singapore nationals for corporate and analytical roles rather than store-level positions. Utah's retail sector is heavily tied to outdoor and sporting goods, companies like SKULLCANDY and Black Diamond have Salt Lake City roots, meaning specialty sourcing, product development, and buyer roles can be genuine pathways. Because the H-1B1 has an annual numerical cap, Singapore nationals should confirm an employer's timeline awareness before accepting an offer.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore retail jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
