Financial Reporting Manager – IFRS
Ultradent Products Inc., a 47-year global leader in oral healthcare manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager – IFRS to join our Finance team. This is a highly technical, individual-contributor role for an experienced financial reporting professional who thrives on ownership, technical complexity, and independent problem-solving. The Financial Reporting Manager – IFRS is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reviewing the company’s most complex external financial reporting under IFRS. Current, hands-on IFRS reporting experience is essential for success in this role. This is an onsite position located in South Jordan, UT and will report directly to the company's Controller. Beyond technical expertise, we’re looking for someone who knows how to take ownership. You’ll be trusted to navigate complex or ambiguous accounting and reporting matters, evaluate available information, exercise sound judgment, and develop well-supported recommendations with minimal direction. As a trusted resource to the Financial Controller and broader Finance organization, you’ll help establish a high standard for technical rigor, strengthen financial reporting processes, and provide guidance to other members of the team. This role also offers the opportunity to take on broader leadership responsibilities as the organization and Finance function continue to evolve.
What You’ll Do
- Own complex financial reporting matters from start to finish, including defining the issue, researching applicable IFRS guidance, evaluating alternatives, documenting conclusions, and recommending a path forward.
- Serve as a key IFRS resource for the Finance team, applying and interpreting IFRS requirements across financial statements, disclosures, and technical accounting matters.
- Prepare, analyze, and review complex external financial reports and disclosures in accordance with applicable IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Research technical accounting matters and translate complex guidance into clear, well-supported, audit-ready accounting positions and technical memos.
- Identify emerging accounting and reporting issues, assess their potential impact, and proactively recommend solutions.
- Gather, consolidate, and analyze financial information used in external reporting, disclosures, regulatory requirements, and other financial reporting deliverables.
- Prepare and review balance sheets, statements of cash flows, financial disclosures, and other financial reports with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Review financial reporting documentation for completeness and accuracy and ensure alignment with applicable internal controls, corporate governance standards, and reporting requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliations and related accounting responsibilities, while identifying opportunities to strengthen processes and improve efficiency.
- Partner with internal and external auditors, providing technical documentation and serving as a knowledgeable point of contact for assigned reporting areas.
- Share technical expertise with other members of the Finance team through coaching and mentoring, with opportunities to take on broader leadership responsibilities as the organization evolves.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting designation, or active candidacy in the final stages of certification.
- Significant hands-on experience preparing or supporting financial reporting under IFRS. Because of the technical nature of this position, direct IFRS reporting experience is required.
- Six or more years of progressive accounting, external financial reporting, or related experience, including responsibility for complex technical accounting matters.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and the ability to research, interpret, and apply accounting guidance to complex business situations.
- Experience working with financial reporting requirements, internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to independently navigate complex or open-ended issues, exercise sound judgment, and develop well-supported recommendations.
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex accounting conclusions clearly and effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a public company or similarly complex external reporting environment.
- Public accounting experience with a Big Four, national, or comparable accounting firm.
- Experience coaching or mentoring accounting professionals.
- Interest and demonstrated potential to grow into broader technical or people leadership responsibilities.

Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for human resources managers?
Technology companies in the Silicon Slopes corridor, including Qualtrics, Pluralsight, and Adobe's Utah offices, have sponsored visas for HR managers. Intermountain Health and other large healthcare systems also have sponsorship history for specialized HR roles. Enterprise software firms and financial services companies in Salt Lake City round out the most active sponsoring employers for this role in the state.
Which visa types are most common for human resources manager roles in Utah?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for human resources managers in Utah, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field. Candidates with advanced degrees may also pursue EB-2 green card sponsorship. L-1A visas apply for HR managers transferring within a multinational company to a Utah office.
Which cities in Utah have the most human resources manager sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of HR manager sponsorship jobs in Utah, driven by its corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, and financial services sector. Provo and Lehi, at the heart of the Silicon Slopes tech hub, also generate consistent demand. Ogden sees activity tied to manufacturing and logistics employers, though sponsorship volume there is lower than in the greater Salt Lake metro area.
How to find human resources manager visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to search for human resources manager roles in Utah without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by location, including Salt Lake City and the Silicon Slopes corridor, to find employers actively hiring international HR professionals. Creating a profile helps surface relevant openings as new roles are posted.
Are there state-specific considerations for human resources managers seeking visa sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's HR manager market is closely tied to its tech sector, so candidates with experience supporting engineering or product teams tend to be more competitive. The state's universities, including the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, produce strong local HR talent, meaning sponsored candidates often need graduate credentials or highly specialized experience in areas like global mobility or organizational development to stand out to sponsoring employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored human resources manager jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
