Which companies sponsor visas for human resources managers in Texas?
Large multinationals with significant Texas operations are among the most consistent sponsors for HR manager roles. ExxonMobil and Chevron in Houston, Dell Technologies and Apple in Austin, and American Airlines and AT&T in the Dallas-Fort Worth area have all filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for human resources positions. Healthcare systems like HCA Healthcare and Texas Health Resources are also active sponsors.
Which visa types are most common for human resources manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for human resources managers in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Candidates with an advanced degree may also explore the EB-2 immigrant visa pathway. Australian citizens working with Texas employers sometimes use the E-3 visa as an alternative to the H-1B.
Which cities in Texas have the most human resources manager sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads Texas for HR manager sponsorship volume, driven by its dense concentration of corporate headquarters across finance, telecommunications, and logistics. Houston follows closely, with the energy sector and a large medical center complex generating consistent demand. Austin's technology industry growth has increased sponsorship activity there significantly over the past several years. San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley also have emerging opportunities, particularly in healthcare and manufacturing.
How to find human resources manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters job listings by visa sponsorship status, so you can search human resources manager roles in Texas without sorting through positions that won't support work authorization. The platform covers employers across Houston, Dallas, and Austin who have a documented history of sponsoring HR professionals. Filtering by state and role on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to manually researching sponsorship eligibility.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for human resources manager visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations used in H-1B Labor Condition Applications since the Department of Labor benchmarks wages against local market data. Houston and Dallas are designated high-demand metro areas, meaning prevailing wage levels are set against competitive local compensation benchmarks. Texas's large university system, including UT Austin and Texas A&M, also creates a pipeline of international graduates already in-state who may be transitioning from F-1 OPT status when pursuing HR manager roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored human resources manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
