Which companies sponsor visas for operations analysts in Utah?
Utah-based tech companies along the Wasatch Front are among the most active sponsors, including Qualtrics, Domo, and Overstock. Larger enterprises with significant Utah operations, such as Goldman Sachs (which has a major Salt Lake City office) and Adobe, also sponsor operations analyst roles. Healthcare systems like Intermountain Health and staffing-heavy logistics firms round out the sponsoring employer base in the state.
Which visa types are most common for operations analyst roles in Utah?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for operations analyst positions in Utah, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, statistics, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT have a direct path before employer-sponsored H-1B visa petitions are filed. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying analyst classifications.
Which cities in Utah have the most operations analyst sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the large majority of operations analyst sponsorship activity in Utah, driven by its concentration of tech firms, financial services offices, and healthcare systems. Lehi and Provo, part of the Silicon Slopes corridor, are growing hubs where companies like Qualtrics and Vivint have hired analysts with visa sponsorship. Ogden has a smaller but active base tied to logistics and government contracting employers.
How to find operations analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate lets you filter operations analyst jobs specifically by visa sponsorship availability and state, so you can see which Utah employers are actively hiring international candidates rather than manually screening hundreds of listings. Roles in Utah's tech and healthcare sectors appear regularly on the platform. Setting up alerts for operations analyst positions in Salt Lake City and the Silicon Slopes area helps you respond to new postings quickly.
Are there state-specific or role-specific factors that affect operations analyst sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's Silicon Slopes ecosystem has attracted a concentration of high-growth tech companies that are experienced with H-1B sponsorship, which can make the process more straightforward than in states with fewer established tech employers. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University produce a steady pipeline of graduate talent in analytics and engineering, meaning competition for sponsored roles can be meaningful. Employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, which is publicly available in DOL disclosure data.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations analyst jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
