Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for team leads?
Several established and high-growth employers in Utah's Silicon Slopes area have a track record of sponsoring work visas for team leads. Adobe, Qualtrics, Pluralsight, Domo, and eBay's Utah offices have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for leadership roles. Large enterprises and well-funded scale-ups are generally more willing to sponsor than early-stage startups, which often lack dedicated immigration support.
What visa types are most common for team lead roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa for team lead roles in Utah, particularly in software engineering, product management, and data functions where a relevant bachelor's degree supports the specialty occupation requirement. The L-1A is another pathway for team leads transferring from a foreign affiliate into a managerial capacity. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization are often well-positioned to transition to employer-sponsored status.
How to find team lead visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify team lead openings in Utah where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Rather than sifting through general postings, you can focus your search on roles in Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Provo where sponsorship is confirmed, saving significant time during a job search that may be tied to a visa deadline.
Which cities in Utah have the most team lead sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and the Silicon Slopes corridor, which runs through Lehi, Draper, and Provo, account for the large majority of visa-sponsored team lead openings in Utah. Lehi in particular has become a dense hub for technology companies, with numerous mid-size and enterprise employers headquartered there. Ogden has a smaller but growing presence in defense-adjacent tech, which can offer team lead opportunities for candidates with appropriate backgrounds.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for team leads seeking visa sponsorship?
Utah's Silicon Slopes ecosystem benefits from strong pipelines out of the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, which means employers are accustomed to hiring technically skilled candidates, including international talent. Prevailing wage requirements for team lead roles in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area are set by the Department of Labor and vary by specialization. Team leads in software engineering or data typically fall under higher wage levels, which employers factor into their decision to sponsor.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored team lead jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
