The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, including cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and strategic business planning.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily accounting operations, general ledger activities, month-end and year-end closing, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
- Oversee cost accounting, product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, margins, variances, and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Accounting or finance experience.
- Significant experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role; ideally, at least 5 years in a Financial Controller position.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage, SAP, or similar platforms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience in manufacturing, production, or inventory-driven organizations.
- Experience with ERP implementation, system improvements, and financial process optimization.
- Exposure to HR, employee benefits administration, insurance, and broader operational management.
